CoBank Launches 2023 Sharing Success Program April 1

$5 million fund matches customer donations to charities across rural America

DENVER (March 27) – CoBank, a cooperative bank serving agribusinesses, rural infrastructure providers and Farm Credit customers, announced the launch of its annual Sharing Success program. The $5 million fund is a cornerstone of CoBank’s corporate citizenship efforts, matching donations by the bank’s customers to nonprofit organizations in their communities.

CoBank established Sharing Success in 2012. Since then, the bank and its customers have together contributed nearly $76 million to groups such as volunteer fire departments, local schools and hunger relief programs.

“Over the past ten years, Sharing Success has helped CoBank and our customer owners contribute in a big way to the growth and vibrancy of rural America,” said Thomas Halverson, CoBank’s president and chief executive officer. “It is a collaboration that embodies the cooperative principle of concern for community and leverages the deep local knowledge and strong relationships our customers have within the communities they serve. We are privileged to partner with our customers in their charitable efforts and look forward to many more decades of Sharing Success.”

The 2023 Sharing Success program launches April 1. Customers that have an existing CoBank.com account can simply login with their email to access the application. Those not yet registered will be asked to submit their name, organization name and email address. Once submitted, the customer will receive a verification code via email that will allow them to complete the registration process. Once registered, customers can submit Sharing Success requests. Each customer may apply for up to four matching grants, and the maximum match per customer is $10,000.

For 2023, CoBank has enhanced its Sharing Success application site to allow customers greater visibility into the application process. Once a request is submitted, customers will be able to log into the site at any time to check its status. Requests will be shown as in process, approved or paid. In addition, the site will display the remaining number of requests and matching dollars available to the customer. Once customers receive their matching grants, they will be asked to log back into the site to complete a brief acknowledgement. This process will allow CoBank to more closely track the payment process and avoid delays in check delivery.

Sharing Success will run through September 30 or the point at which the $5 million fund is exhausted. Customers interested in participating should contact their CoBank relationship manager or visit the Sharing Success program page for detailed program requirements. The electronic application will be available on April 1 on CoBank.com.
